Las Cruces, NM Airport
- Passenger Service:
- Passenger service to Las Cruces is provided by Mesa
Airlines, which has three flights daily to Las Cruces
International Airport, located nine miles west of the
city via Interstate 10.
- The airport is 7,500 feet with three paved runways.
Charter and private passenger airplane services are available.
- Las Cruces International Airport Businesses:
- There are several businesses located at the airport.
These include Mesa Airlines, Southwest Aviation (FBO),
Adventure Aviation, Hertz, and Avis Rental Car Agencies,
three aircraft maintenance facilities and a snack bar.
- The city of Las Cruces operates the Las Cruces International
Airport primary as a general aviation airport. Daily commuter
air services to Albuquerque are provided by Mesa Airlines.
- Aircraft such as DC-9, B-737, and DC-B use the airport for
charter service. The length of the 4-22 runway is 7,500 feet
at a elevation of 4,454 feet. The city has made a commitment to
improve the airport by seeking and obtaining grant funds to
construct an Instrument Landing System, AWOS Weather Observation
System, additional airport parking areas, lengthening, and
improvements to the ILS Runway Base.

Santa Teresa, NM Airport

The Doņa Ana County International
Airport in Santa Teresa receives an average of nine international landings
per month and has provided air freight support to southern New Mexico since
the early 1980s. The non-commercial airport is owned and operated by the
County, which leases land to firms for the construction of hangars and other
facilities. Of 300 acres available for lease, 25.8 acres are currently occupied.
Approximately 80 jets, turbo-props, twin and single engine aircraft reside at
the airport. The 8,500 foot runway is capable of handling general aviation
aircraft and smaller freight aircraft up to 60,000 pounds. UPS began drop
shipments to and from the airport in early 2000.
Cargo, charter and general aviation services are available via the Las Cruces
International Airport and the Dona Ana County Airport at Santa Teresa. Foreign
trade zones (FTZ) are located at both airports.
