be complex and difficult. Inadequate highway and crossing services can

not kept pace with needed repairs or services. Industrial parks on both
sides of the river possess water, electricity, and gas. The price averages
are as follows:
- Water- $0.015 per US gallon
- Sewage- $0.011 per US gallon
- Electricity- $0.065 per Kw / hr
- Natural Gas- $0.197 per square-meter
- LP Gas- $0.099 per liter
- Truck use- $1.50 - $2.00 per US mile

Customs
US Customs directs commercial
crossing activity to the Los Indios Crossing, which is 15 - 20 miles
from Brownsville. The tourist and passenger crossing into downtown Matamoros
is highly congested.
