Infrastructure
Hermosillo's location affords lengthy
but acceptable access to US I-10. Roads through the city are narrow, yet access
to the industrial area is excellent. Truck rates are high to the border or east
to Cd. Chihuahua, and service can be unreliable. Water, electricity, and gas are
available in the state's industrial park. Water pressure is often low, lines can
become clogged with sediment during the rainy season.

Customs
The crossing at Nogales is antiquated
and extremely limited for passenger and commercial needs. Inadequate customs
staffing on both sides does translate into delays up to one hour.

Locations
The large Mexican port at Guaymas
is ninety miles to the southwest. The beautiful bay and fishing villages
of Bahio Kino are found sixty miles to the West of Hermosillo.
