The Agua Prieta maquilas also rely upon Sierra Vista based distributorships of border wide companies. Metal stamping can be obtained from existing machine shops in Phoenix or Tucson, and electrical components could be obtained through air freight of trucking and warehousing. Lack of plastic injection and circuit board manufacturers would inhibits electronic operations.
